Yesterday Jeroen and I went to Leonie who lives in Utrecht. Along with some others we went to the Ekko where this dirty electro dub party “Wildgroei” was. The party was like crazy. Just like us; I remember ordering two beers, and getting two beers AND a glass of water. The girl behind the bar smiled and thought it would be a good idea to drink some non-alcoholics. On the way back we entered an empty building, and met up with some bums living in there. At first they were quite aggressive, but after a while we just chatted and they even introduced themselves.

I won’t talk about how i felt today, it really sucked..

Oh yes, I also loaded the Smena camera, and shot some crazy pics on thursday I think.
And today i bought the new Foals album, Total Life Forever. I went to a show in Paradiso (Amsterdam) a month ago, and after that I decided that I really should buy it! Their musical style changed but I love it, it’s really great. More melodic and less guitar-riff-mania, but still FOALS. I still like this song the most:

Here’s a collection of some pictures i shot with my Diana F+ (take a look at the sample gallery). I’ve shot 4 rolls of film now, and at the moment the camera is loaded with HP5 black and white film. You can take 12 full frame or 16 smaller shots, but i prefer the 12 shot setting. There’s much more vignetting when you shoot full frame, and that’s one of the nice things about this camera.

..a few weeks ago, second-hand from a strange lonely guy.

It’s a Smena 8. Made in Russia the USSR by the LOMO factory in 1963. It takes 35mm film. It’s all manual, so the strange loner gave me a lightmeter with it. Even the shutter is manual; you have to wind it up first.
I haven’t taken any pictures with it, yet. But i soon will. Till that time, take a look at this, or this, or maybe this. All Smena 8, 8, 8.
