WAKE T-SHIRT
Let’s boat through the striped shirt! A really nice design by Phil Jones, which hopefully will be printed by Threadless.

Four Tet’s most recent album ‘There is Love in You’, includes the track Plastic People. His music can be described as a mixture of electronica, techno, hip-hop, jazz and folk. The tune in Plastic People is repeated through the whole track, but is really relaxing rather than anoying. Listen to it below, and relax. The video is really cool btw, spacy!

This short movie is about five world-class surfers, that want to catch waves no one has ever ridden before. Their destination? The Arctic Circle. With high-tech wetsuits they surf the freezing water, really sick. But hey, it provides us with some nice images!
Yesterday evening the iPod dock was playing its tunes, until I switched it to Radio 3FM. And there it was, I am Oak. Their sounds is like a dream. The banjo is fascinating and in perfect harmony with the intriguing voice of Thijs Kuijken. I thought it was a foreign band, but they’re from Utrecht, and currently playing gigs through the whole country. Their first album “On Claws” is out now and available via Snowstar Records. Listen it below!
This is my favorite, an acoustic version of On Trees and Birds and Fire.
After summer I want to study Urban Design at the HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht). I had to do assignments for an admission exam. One of the assignments was to design a pavilion for one of your favourite objects. I choose the Diana F+ camera. This is the result.

I’ve got the first roll from the Smena 8 developed. Here are the results.

All photos made with the Smena can be found in this set.
Here are some drawings by Lizzy Stewart. She graduated with a first class degree from Edinburgh College of Art in 2009. She is a fan of pencils, cardigans and Russian history. And also bears. And birds I think? These drawings are from the collection “Dead Landscapes Zine”, which is based on the quote “We loved the landcsape to death” from a poem by Richard Lodge.

Seen on booooooom!.
A while ago I already read something about the anouncement of a new iPhone. I was about to go to bed, but then I saw this advertisement on the Apple webpage: “iPhone 4. This changes everything. Again.” So it’s out. Well, on June 15 you can pre-order it, to be precise. But let’s take a look.

Maybe I should rename my blog to Foals Fanblog, but I need to post this.
Foals released their third video from, currently one of the best albums, Total Life Forever. After Spanish Sahara and This Orient, they now chose Miami to hit the public. Not a bad decision in my opinion. Last thursday I went to Tivoli to see them live again, and the new songs are well-known already. I’m looking forward to Lowlands Festival this year, because they’re playing over there too!
The video is quite strange and cool at the same time. Watch for yourself!
